Prepare the Mozzarella Cheese

To do this, cut the 1 pound Mozzarella cheese into 3 by 1/2-inch individual sticks or strips. Alternatively, you can use the string cheese and cut each of them into half. This is to expedite their preparation. It is also to enable them to cook faster and more evenly. This is not to mention the fact that they will be easier to digest that way.

Coat the Cheese

Once you have cut the cheese into smaller pieces, coat them in readiness for their subsequent preparations. Do this in two phases. In the first phase, coat them using the white flour. In the second phase, dip them in the eggs.

Roll into Bread Crumbs

After you are through with coating them, roll them in breadcrumbs.

Repeat the above Two Steps

Repeat the two previous steps i.e. coat the cheese and roll it into bread crumbs again. Do this by placing the bread crumbs in a bowl. Mix the eggs and the milk together in the same bowl. Dip the eggs and the crumbs once more. This is to enhance the quality of the food that is being prepared.

Freeze the Mozzarella Sticks

Prepare the sticks for the subsequent refrigeration by laying them on a cookie sheet. Spray a little oil, preferably coconut oil. Leave for a while to let the ingredients and the coconut oil to mix thoroughly. Place the sheet together with the Mozzarella sticks in a refrigerator for around 1-2 hours or as soon as it has turned solid/hard.

Place the Sticks in the Air fryer

Place the small batches of the Mozzarella sticks into the food basket of the air fryer. Be sure that they do not overcrowd, as this may impede their smooth cooking. In case they are many, consider preparing them in batches, one at a time.

Set the Timer and the Temperatures

Set the timer and the cooking temperature before commencing the actual frying. Press the air fryer’s M button. Scroll down to the ‘French Fries’ icon. Press the power button. Adjust the cooking time to 10 minutes. Set the temperature to around 400 degrees Celsius. Leave to cook. The air fryer will alert you once the timing has elapsed.

PS: The above step may vary depending on the precise make/model of the air fryer. Be sure to independently verify your fryer’s configuration before carrying out this step.

Remove the Sticks

Remove the sticks from the air fryer. Do this by removing the food basket from the fryer. Depending on the precise make of the air fryer, you may have to turn the sticks upside down and repeat the procedure above. If the sticks are well cooked, place them on a plate or paper towels.

Serve the Sticks

Once you have removed the sticks from the food basket, place them on a plate or a paper towel. Apply sauce to them. Leave to cool for some time. Eat using a fork and spoon.

Even though the procedures we have outlined above are lengthy and meticulous, you absolutely have no way round them. You just have to follow them to the latter for the best ever results. Consider preparing this appetizer every quite often in order to sharpen your skill.

Are you sure you mean 400C? That’s nearly 800 degrees F and twice what any air fryer can generally reach.
