It’s Friday, which calls for massive amounts of coffee since it’s almost a three-day weekend! Actually, any day requires caffeine in my book, but especially on days like today, it’s an absolute necessity. I just started drinking coffee about seven years ago, and ever since then I’ve been hooked. I’m not addicted to it and can go a few days or even weeks without it, but that’s not fun, so I don’t do that. And while I try not to drink it every day, I find myself drinking it almost every day…that counts for a little bit of willpower, right?
My husband doesn’t drink coffee at all. He likes the smell of it, but not the taste of it. And he much prefers his morning glass of orange juice and water throughout the day.
However, when I made this Cappuccino a few weeks ago, even my husband was intrigued! This drink combines a blend of rich coffee and chocolate, mixed in with creamy vanilla ice cream. It’s smooth, refreshing, and perfect for when you need a caffeine fix.

This Cappuccino is incredibly easy to whip up and so full of flavor! To start, you’ll want to make sure your coffee is brewed and well-chilled. Next, you’ll combine the coffee, some chocolate syrup, sweetener, and vanilla ice cream in a blender. Blend away until it reaches your desired consistency and then pour into a tall glass. And please garnish it with whipped cream. It’s just tastes better that way, trust me!
One sip and you’ll be hooked on the smooth mocha flavor and creamy texture. This Cappuccino is the perfect indulgence to make your day (or night) just a little bit sweeter!
- 2 cups brewed coffee, well chilled
- ⅔ cups chocolate syrup
- 2 cups vanilla ice cream
- Ice cubes
- Whipped cream for garnish, if desired
- Into the canister of a blender, combine the coffee and chocolate syrup. Blend on high speed until mixed in.
- Add ice cream, cover, and blend until smooth.
- Divide into 4 glasses and serve immediately over ice.
- Top with whipped cream, if desired.
